  • Do you pray for big and specific or for general and small things?
  • Why might a spiritually rich parent desire for their children to be spiritually disadvantaged?
  • What do you think was the purpose behind praying for power for the Ephesians?

Play the “I Forgive You” video:

Then ask questions like these:

  • What causes followers of Jesus to forgive like that?
  • What may have gone through the minds of the people who were able to publicly offer forgiveness on the shooter?
  • What impact do you think that this offering of forgiveness had on the shooter and why?
  • What impact do you think the reactions to these offers of forgiveness might have had on those who offered it and why?
  • What do you think this incident demonstrates about the power of God’s love and the importance of prayers like those found in Ephesians and why?

Close in prayer.
