Context

Play the “Caught in France” video clip (Stop at 2:10) and ask:

• What do you remember about this movie (Catch Me if You Can)?
• Why did Frank ultimately believe and surrender?
• Though we may have issues with the swearing/oaths about children, why do you think that was effective?
• What do you think of Frank’s reaction when he realizes he has been “tricked” into a surrender (the police showed up a few seconds after the clip ended)?
• Why is it so hard to think about surrendering to God?
• How have we taken that idea over the years and turned it into something damaging?
• If you were going to explain a healthy surrender to God, how would you describe it?
