Introduction

This week we are studying 2 Corinthians 8:1-15 and is it all about money. Ok…not exactly. Beginning with this passage and going through chapter 9 verse 15, Paul is expressing his concern for the poor in Jerusalem. He is reminding the Corinthians of their commitment to give to the collection for the church in Jerusalem and he brags on the Christians in Macedonia who have given to the collection so generously. Paul wants the Corinthians to also give generously, but for him, it is an issue related more to the gospel than putting money in a plate.
