Genesis 37:1-4, 12-28
The story of Joseph and his brothers is one of the most known in the scriptures. But it is a painful story, full of violence, hatred, deceit, arrogance and loss. How ought we read passages so full of the real darkness of humanity? If God can work within this sort of messiness, might God also be able to do good in our own messiness and darkness?
