In the Potters Hand
For the session to be discussed on September 4, 2016
Jeremiah 18:1-11
In this section of Jeremiah, God is described as a potter, and we are the clay. At first glance, that is a tender and comforting image. But as we read and take seriously this passage, it becomes clear that the molding and shaping of the clay does not always come easily or gently. The team discusses those times in our lives when we were shaped by events which, at the time, might have come at great cost or with great pain.
