1 Thessalonians 1:1–10

We reflect on what we’re known for personally and as the church, using Paul’s praise of the Thessalonians to ask whether others hear good things about us—feeding the hungry, defending the persecuted, and living out Jesus’ teachings—rather than seeking power or money. The team discusses how reputation comes from lived experience, whether our neighborhoods would notice if we disappeared, and how to be “noisy” about real service. We lift up Mr. Rogers (and Ms. Rachel) as examples of gentle but courageous, action-focused faith that makes the gospel look like good news.
