Philippians 1:21–30

We reflect on how we know we’re “done” with something—often through quiet burnout—and connect that to Paul in Philippians 1, who admits weariness, welcomes death, yet chooses to remain for others’ progress and joy. We explore living in a manner worthy of the gospel, holding up our end as a community, and refusing to be driven by fear or opposition. We consider faith’s call to do what seems illogical, to suffer as a privilege, and to “help” in God’s work even when it hurts, drawing parallels to Jimmy Carter’s quiet persistence and to finding hope through those we serve, like students.
