We reflect on sudden changes in our lives and connect them to Exodus, where a new Pharaoh’s rule brings oppression, yet God works through ordinary people. We focus on the women who move the story—midwives, Moses’ mother and sister, and Pharaoh’s daughter—who resist evil, take risks, and protect life. We note the basket-in-the-water echo of flood and hero stories, and draw hope that small, faithful acts by those who seem powerless can seed liberation and challenge destructive systems.
