In today’s episode we reflect on persistence through Jesus’ parable of the persistent widow before an unjust judge. Like a tenacious grandmother battling insurance, the widow keeps showing up because she needs justice to survive, even when the system is cruel and indifferent. The contrast is that God is righteous and welcomes our prayers, so persistence isn’t wearing God down but sustaining faith when justice feels delayed. We’re challenged not only to keep praying, but to become advocates so the vulnerable don’t have to fight alone, doing the right thing for the right reasons.
