In this episode we compare modern debate culture and sports arguments with Athens’ intellectual discourse, emphasizing Paul’s claim that the “unknown God” is the Creator who cannot be contained by human-made objects and that God made humanity, not vice versa. The group reads Paul’s approach as humility meeting humility, highlighting “fumbling” toward God and calling the church to lead with curiosity rather than judgment, especially toward those hurt by church. We note Christianity’s historical burdens, the need to acknowledge harm, and find hope in compassionate leadership, renewed listening, and God’s ongoing redemptive work.
