• Review today’s scripture text and the session activities to help better facilitate the discussion.
• Have the Bible Background Video ready to view.
• Encourage your group to listen to the FaithElement podcast ahead of the next session (Share the link via email or social media).

Context

Break a pencil into two pieces and place it in a brown paper bag ahead of time. At the beginning of your class time, set it on a table or chair in front of you. Explain to the group that you have something in the bag that probably should be thrown away, that it is broken and useless.
