- Encourage your group to listen to the FaithElement podcast ahead of the next session (Share the link via email or social media).
Context
Show “The Crop That Failed” (Stop at 2:07) and ask:
- How did this video make you feel about the farmer and his efforts, particularly his logic in replanting a different crop?
- To what degree does his explanation make you optimistic about the future crop that he is planting?
- When have you invested your life into something and it failed for whatever reason?
- How do you redirect your efforts when things don’t go as you originally planned?
- What sort of lesson is there in failing at things and starting over?
