Show this classic scene from The Jerk and ask the group:
- Why is this scene one of the more memorable ones from this movie?
- Which of the things he picked up do you think was most ridiculous and why?
- What sorts of things do you have laying about in your house that you might not really need, and why do you have them?
- In what ways do our possessions define us?
- How does the way we feel about the things we have differ from our feelings about the people we care about, and why?
