Context
Play the “Room for All of Us” movie clip and ask:
- What do you think of Gandhi’s understanding of Jesus’ teaching about turning the other cheek?
- Why do you think the clergyman was so timid in the face of Gandhi’s opponents?
- Why is it so much easier for us to believe in Jesus’ teachings than to actually do something?
- How difficult do you think it was for Gandhi to stick to “turning the other cheek” while watching evil being conducted upon his culture?
