Play the Cassius video and ask:

• When you think of “suffering” for your faith,” what typically comes to mind, and why?
• Why do you think people would have been so compelled to be a follower of Jesus in Jerusalem in the First Century, given the suffering they may have faced?
• How difficult do you think it was for them to follow “the Christ’s” example of love and humility in time of extreme suffering?
• What are some advantages or disadvantages to being able to practice our faith in our times, rather than in theirs?
