Context

Play the Opera video (You might want to stop at around the one-minute mark.) and ask:

• In general, how do you handle words that sound like a foreign language to you and how do they affect your enjoyment of an event?
• In what ways did the words at the bottom of the screen affect your experience of watching the video?
• How did the commercial affect your feelings about opera and why?
• If someone important told you that learning opera was very important for you, at what point might you give up on the opera and why?
