Introduction

Today we are looking together at the Parable of Talents as it is found in Matthew 25:14-30. The story is simple: A man is going on a journey and he leaves varying sums of money with three of his slaves, with the expectation each would invest the money while he was gone in order to increase what he had given them. The sum of money each slave is given is described in talents.
