Introduction
Today’s text is an opportunity to talk about the things in this place and time that veil the light of Christ from fully shining in this world. There are many things in our lives and in our communities that keep us from both shining our light in the world and seeing the light in others.
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:1-6
Therefore, since it is by God’s mercy that we are engaged in this ministry, we do not lose heart. We have renounced the shameful things that one hides; we refuse to practise cunning or to falsify God’s word; but by the open statement of the truth we commend ourselves to the conscience of everyone in the sight of God.
