Introduction

We are beginning this new calendar year in the gospel of John 1:1-18. While this is a new Calendar year, in the church year we are still in the season of Christmas which is the time of year we remember that God chose to be and live among us as one of us.

Scripture: John 1:1-18

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being in him was life, and the life was the light of all people.
