Don’t Be a Goat
Session 9.48
Podcast
Introduction
This week we are in Matthew 25:31-46. This is that peculiar and challenging text about sheep and goats. You know – there were those who clothed the naked and fed the hungry and gave drinks to the thirsty and visited those in prison. Jesus told them whenever they did this to the least of these, they did it for Jesus. Then there there were those who did not clothe the naked or feed the hungry or give drinks to the thirsty or visit those in prison. Jesus told them that whenever they did not do this to the least of these, they didn’t do it for Jesus either.
Scripture: Matthew 25:31-46
Then the king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’
