• Before the session, create two parallel lines in the middle of your meeting space, about two feet apart (see introductory activity).

Intro

Play a game of competitive paper-rock-scissors by making two lines on the floor, approximately two feet apart, then forming two equal teams. Each team should get behind one line, leaving the space open in the middle huddle together to decide collectively whether to show paper, rock, or scissors. Once the teams have decided on their symbol, have both groups come to the middle and place at least one foot on the line in front of them, facing each other, and count down from three before displaying their choice. Whichever team wins should chase the opposing team back to a wall or base on their side and if anyone touches someone from the other team before they make it back to their base, the person touched must change sides. Likewise, anyone who displays a symbol other than the one that their team chose has to change sides. Have both teams huddle again and repeat the process until there is either only one team left, the group tires of the game, or you need to move on in the interests of time.
