Introduction

The text for today is about the interaction between David and Nathan the prophet following David’s act of adultery with Bathsheba and his attempt to cover it up by sending her husband to the front lines. The prophet Nathan is sent to David by God to confront David about his actions. Who are the Nathan’s in your life?

Scripture: 2 Samuel 11:26-12:15a

When the wife of Uriah heard that her husband was dead, she made lamentation for him. When the mourning was over, David sent and brought her to his house, and she became his wife, and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord, and the Lord sent Nathan to David.
