Context
Say: In the film, The Sandlot, Scotty Smalls is the new kid in town in the summer of 1962, and a neighborhood baseball team led by Benny Rodriguez takes him in. When the team’s only ball is knocked over the fence into a yard guarded by a fearsome dog known as “the Beast,” Smalls slips into his stepfather’s den and borrows a ball to keep the game going, without knowing what makes it so special.
