Say: In the film, X-Men: First Class, set in the early 1960s, a young telepath named Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr, who can control metal, become allies and begin seeking out other young mutants with extraordinary powers. As Cold War tensions build toward the Cuban Missile Crisis, the two friends discover that they hold very different ideas about what mutants should do with their gifts, and Charles and Erik will one day become Professor X and Magneto.
