Before the Session
Facilitator: In advance of the session
- Review today’s scripture text and the session activities to help better facilitate the discussion.
- Have the Bible Background Video ready to view.
- Encourage your group to listen to the Faithelement podcast ahead of the next session (Share the link via email or social media).
- Preview both video clips below and confirm the links still play. If the Hatteras Island clip becomes unavailable, search for a recent news report on the Sink–Laprad wedding (Frisco Woods Campground, September 26) and substitute it. If the Station 22 clip becomes unavailable, search for “Seminole County firefighters Lila Pagan” and substitute a recent report, or simply read the summary aloud.
- Both stories are tender rather than contentious, but the second involves a small child under a truck. Let the group know ahead of time that the rescue is described but not shown, and give anyone who needs it permission to step out.
