Say: In the movie *The Sandlot, new kid on the block Scotty Smalls and his fellow neighborhood kids are scared of their neighbor, Mr. Mertle, and the large neighborhood dog, The Beast. When one of the boys hits the prized signed baseball that belongs to Smalls’ stepfather over the fence, they have to face The Beast in order to retrieve it. Their journey leads them to a conversation with Mr. Mertle that changes everything.*
