Tell the group: Earlier, in the span of about one week’s time there was a mass shooting at a Buffalo grocery store that left 10 black people dead; a shooting at a Taiwanese-American church that left one dead and five injured; the SBC report on sexual abuse that revealed a list of 700 people suspected of abusing people in their church and a shooting at a Uvalde, Texas, elementary school that left 19 children and two teachers dead, with another 17 wounded. After the Texas shooting, Sen Chris Murphy made this plea:
