Context
Share the “Marshmallow Test” video and ask:
- How do you think you would have done if you were given this same test and why?
- What else could someone have put on the table that would have been tougher for you to resist?
- Why do you think some people have so much trouble rejecting the idea of immediate gratification, as opposed to a long-term benefit?
- At what points does this tendency to struggle with temptation lead us to real world consequences?
- In what way is the dilemma faced by the children in this video similar to our faith experience?
