Play the Lion King clip (stop at 3:21) and ask:
- What do you most like or dislike about this video?
- Why does Simba have such hopes for his future?
- Since most people know the story of the Lion King by now, how is your experience of the song affected by the knowledge that Simba has an enemy?
- What kinds of enemies do people typically have today?
- In what ways does having an adversary affect someone’s life for good or bad?
- What kinds of things do we typically have to overcome in order to be everything that God hopes for us to be?
