Introduction

This week we will focus our attention on 1 Peter 1:3-9. These verses are a part of the opening greetings in the letter and they are one of the most hope-filled and beautifully written words about the gospel. The letter is written to give truth, hope, and encouragement in a difficult, painful, and challenging time. It is a good word for us now as we are living through our own difficult, painful, and challenging time.

Scripture: 1 Peter 1:3-9

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who are being protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Session Pages

Update: Due to the affects of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, most Bible study groups are finding themselves meeting virtually, if at all. In an effort to be responsive to your emerging needs in these times, we are changing our format to make it more accessible for home use. Faithelement is adding a new “Connect” session page, and combining youth and media during this time. “Connect” is designed to work with virtual forms of keeping connected with your group. The youth page also now does not assume a group activity time. We plan to return to our usual session page set when groups are again able to meet in person. Please advise us on how we might better serve your needs in these trying times.
