Introduction

Today, we are looking at Isaiah 56:1-8. In this passage the prophet is describing Israel’s future. While in exile, the Israelites felt alone and abandoned. They felt exile was the end of their story and they would be swallowed up by those who brought them into exile. Yet, here is the prophet, sharing the good news that Israel would indeed have a future.

Scripture: Isaiah 56:1-8

Thus says the Lord: Maintain justice, and do what is right, for soon my salvation will come, and my deliverance be revealed. Happy is the mortal who does this, the one who holds it fast, who keeps the sabbath, not profaning it, and refrains from doing any evil.

Session Pages

Update: Due to the affects of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, most Bible study groups are finding themselves meeting virtually, if at all. In an effort to be responsive to your emerging needs in these times, we are changing our format to make it more accessible for home use. Faithelement is adding a new “Connect” session page, and combining youth and media during this time. “Connect” is designed to work with virtual forms of keeping connected with your group. The youth page also now does not assume a group activity time. We plan to return to our usual session page set when groups are again able to meet in person. Please advise us on how we might better serve your needs in these trying times.
