Free Starter Version

Introduction

Today’s passage begins with David near the end of his life. He is passing on his words of wisdom about being king to Solomon – and is careful to remind him to do as God commands him to do. In a dream, God gives the young King Solomon the chance to ask for anything, and Solomon asks for wisdom. Yet, as Solomon rules, we see that Solomon did not always practice wisdom.

Scripture: 1 Kings 2:10 – 3:14
