Social Media Prompts

In the days leading up to your group gathering around this session, feel free to copy and paste (and edit, if you wish) these prompts and get them in front of your group using email, Facebook, Twitter or whatever method works best for your group.

The goal of the prompts is to encourage persons to begin engaging with the theme of the session, and to begin to discover its relevance in their lives.

Suggested Prompts

Use some or all of these, or edit them, or create your own.

  • What is the hardest decision you have had to make this week? How did your faith inform it?

  • What is a decision you regret making. Why do you regret it and what did you learn from the experience?

  • How many choices do you think you have made today? In the last hour?

  • Spend a few moments in prayer. Then consider a choice you can make to improve someone else’s day. What did you choose to do?

  • Is it sometimes hard to choose (even where to eat a meal)? What makes you indecisive?

  • Where today has someone else made a choice that affected you? How did it feel to be affected by another’s choice? (And… where has a choice you made today affected someone else?).
